CRRH CONTACTS | OREGON LEGISLATIVE HISTORY

CRRH is preparing to launch a petition drive to end adult marijuana prohibition and restore industrial hemp production in Oregon for a vote in 2010. Our affiliated nonprofit organization, The Hemp & Cannabis Foundation, is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) group, so donors receive a tax deduction. THC-Foundation has been holding clinics to help medical marijuana patients qualify for the state programs in Oregon, Colorado, Hawaii and Washington state.

Did you know that CRRH won many of the most prestigious web site design awards?

Did you know that CRRH produces a weekly TV show?

CRRH's weekly TV show, "Cannabis Common Sense," has now produced over 448 shows as of May 2008. This show is on throughout the Portland metropolitan area many Friday nights at 8pm on cable channel 11. Contact us if you would like to help put this show on your local cable provider's cable access channels.

Did you know that the BBC came from England and covered CRRH's petition drive?

Not only that, the host of the BBC TV show, "Talking 'Bout A Revolution," was filmed while he gathered signatures in Portland on CRRH's Oregon Cannabis Tax Act petition.

Did you know that Oregon residents can make the state pay to help regulate marijuana and restore industrial hemp?

Oregon state income tax filers get a full refund of donations up to $50 a person, or $100 for married couples filing jointly, when you file state taxes next year. Oregon tax filers simply put "PCC" for political contribution credit on line 21 of the state income tax form, so no need to worry that you have to write that you're helping end adult marijuana prohibition and restore industrial hemp on your tax returns. We encourage Oregon tax filers to think of their $50 donation as a loan that the state repays next year.

Did you know that your help can make the difference between success and failure?

We need your help. Every signature and every dollar counts. As anthropologist Margaret Meade said, "Never doubt that a small group of dedicated people can change the world. In fact, it's the only thing that ever has." Please help!

Did you know the OCTA petition is designed so that it will be upheld in federal court?

CRRH decided to set up the retail sale of cannabis to adults in state liquor stores to meet the requirements of international treaties. The OCTA petition's preamble outlines a number of constitutional, legal and historical facts for OCTA's departure from federal law. These two factors give OCTA a strong fighting chance of being upheld in the inevitable federal court challenge it must face after we make the ballot and win the election. More information on this is here.

The Roots of Prohibition: Follow the Money Learn More...

We can take the first steps for the rest of our country toward an energy source based on sustainability, life and growth, as well as naturally based food, medicine, sacrament, and recreation. Industrial Hemp will save many farms and cannabis will be regulated and sold through state liquor stores, with tax proceeds generating millions of dollars toward the General Fund, thus ending the unjust war on cannabis.

Reasons we think OCTA will be the first to legalize!

Help OCTA move forward to stop the War on Cannabis by challenging the 1937 Marihuana Tax Act, it's credibility and effectiveness. With your help, we can do it!

Hemp prohibition is the result of propaganda by the petrochemical, cotton, and wood-based paper industries, who foresaw competition from hemp. Virtually anything that can be made from petroleum can be made from hempseed and other vegetable oils at a much lesser cost, and hemp fiber is many times more durable and resourceful than cotton or wood-based paper.

    Cannabis vs. Alcohol

    Indian Hemp
    was properly christened
    by Linnaeus, in 1753,
    as Cannabis sativa,
    which remains the
    botanical name for the
    plant species.

The U.S. Government
distributed 400,000 pounds
of cannabis seeds to
American farmers in 1942
to aid the war effort.
